Good Morning! We recently had our FIRST Black History Performance at one of our local Elementary Schools! HOW EXCITING! WE HAD A BALL to say the very very least! My adrenaline is still pumping from that night! Now there were a few technical difficulties! But it was still a great First BH Month Performance, and to be honest, it was also a great experience for the principal dancers of Devereaux Dance Studio. So let me just get to what some of the complications were. The sound system was broken and the stage was very small. We have approximately 11 dancers doing ballet and modern pieces. Therefore, leaps, a lot of arm action, and kicking were involved.  The size of this stage was not what we were used to. Oh and no dressing room. We only had a very small ramp to do make-up, change clothes and stay organized! Talk about an experience! But to get through it! And to pull it off at a high standard! Devereaux Dance Studio Principal Dancers, I am sooooo proud of you!!!! Really, I am!!! A couple friends of the studio recorded the performance. So I hope to post the video very soon. Maybe even later on today, Thursday February 23.
